What does kyberio offer?
The offering is divided into four areas: cloud, AI, managed services and data centres.
Cloud
kyberio runs two cloud platforms in its own data centres: the Secure Public Cloud on OpenStack, billed by usage, and the Dedicated Private Cloud on Proxmox VE, dedicated to each customer. Both platforms are built on open standards; there are no licence costs for the platform. For environments that run on VMware today, kyberio plans and supports the move to one of the two platforms.

AI
In AI, kyberio provides GPU capacity and dedicated AI servers in its own data centres. Dedicated AI servers start at €549 net per month; inference as a service and GPU as a service are priced on request. Additional space for direct liquid cooling is being planned.
Managed services
kyberio takes on the operation, maintenance, monitoring and backup of systems that run on its own infrastructure. The area is divided into five groups.

Data centres
kyberio runs four data centres at three locations and rents out colocation space in them, from a single rack to a room of your own. Colocation is available in Hanover, and in Wolfsburg from a full rack upwards on request; kyberio does not offer colocation in Frankfurt. Racks start at €199 net per month; power is billed by consumption at €0.429 per kWh.

Where is the data?
All data centres are in Germany. The Secure Public Cloud runs in Hanover and Wolfsburg; a location in Frankfurt is planned for it. Private cloud setups and offsite backups are possible at all locations. kyberio is German-owned, subject to German law and not subject to the CLOUD Act.
In addition to the three existing locations, kyberio is planning liquid-cooled colocation capacity: 1 MW as an expansion in Hanover by Q2/2027, and two projects in the Frankfurt region. Details are under DLC colocation.
What is kyberio certified for?
kyberio’s information security management system is certified to ISO 27001 on the basis of BSI IT-Grundschutz. For the colocation services at the Hanover site, physical security is additionally certified to PCI DSS v4.0.

Who is kyberio?
The management consists of three people: Florian Dierks, Simon Künzel and Thimo Groneberg. Florian Dierks and Simon Künzel have led the company since 2023; Thimo Groneberg joined in 2026 with the build-up of kyberio.group.
More than 30 people work for kyberio. Data centre operations, cloud development, support and consulting are based at the main location in Hanover; support is available around the clock, 365 days a year, in German and in English.

Which cloud platforms does kyberio run?
Two: the Secure Public Cloud on OpenStack and the Dedicated Private Cloud on Proxmox VE. Both are built on open standards and APIs; there are no licence costs for the platform.
What does it cost to get started?
In the Secure Public Cloud, from €0.01456 net per vCPU hour and from €0.00575 net per GB of RAM per hour, billed by usage (price list as of 22 September 2026). Colocation in Hanover from €199 net per rack per month, power by consumption at €0.429 net per kWh. Dedicated AI servers from €549 net per month.
Can I try the cloud first?
Yes. The Secure Public Cloud can be tested free of charge for 14 days. kyberio sets up access after checking the registration, see Secure Public Cloud.
Can I visit a data centre?
Yes, by arrangement and with ID. Colocation customers can reach their hardware around the clock after registering and accompanied by the team.
Do I tie myself technically to kyberio?
The platforms are based on OpenStack and Proxmox VE with open standards and APIs. Workloads stay portable; there are no licence costs for the platform.
What is an availability zone at kyberio?
An area with its own supply, independent of the other zones. There are three of them in Hanover, spread across two data centres. Wolfsburg and Frankfurt add zones at a large distance.
Does kyberio work directly with end customers or through partners?
Both happen. kyberio works with system houses, managed service providers, software vendors, consultancies and agencies, and also looks after companies and public institutions with needs of their own. Enquiries that are better placed with a partner are passed on by kyberio.
