Data centres
Four data centres. Three locations. One operating model.
Colocation and sovereign cloud from data centres in Hanover, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt – certified to ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz.
Hanover, Wolfsburg, Frankfurt: geo-redundantly connected
Hanover is our main location: two data centres with three availability zones. Wolfsburg is more than 80 km away, Frankfurt more than 250 km. That lets you run systems with high availability within Hanover and geo-redundantly across locations – with one provider, one point of contact and under German law.
- Each availability zone with its own supply
- Separate cable routes for the internet connection
- Our own UPS and backup generators
- 100 Gbit/s fibre connectivity
- ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz for data centres and cloud services

DE01 Hannover: two data centres, three availability zones
Our main location. This is where we run colocation and the core of our cloud – with our own team, around the clock.
Two data centres on the backbone ring
In Hanover, the north–south and east–west axes of the German backbone ring intersect. Our two data centres are built on this ring and networked directly with each other. They form three availability zones – VZ-A, VZ-B and VZ-C – each with its own supply. That lets you distribute critical systems across independent zones in one city.
You can reach your hardware at any time: after registering and accompanied by our team.
-
Technical space
Around 3,000 m² of technical space at the Hanover location
-
Energy
Around 5 MW connected load, independent connection to the power grid without spur lines
-
Backup power
Battery-backed UPS and our own diesel backup generators
-
Fire protection
High-sensitivity aspirating smoke detection (VESDA) and automatic nitrogen extinguishing
-
Access
Two-factor authentication with RFID transponder and PIN, video surveillance around the clock
-
Power
Certified green electricity, wind power in Hanover
DE02 Wolfsburg
Our availability zone in Lower Saxony, more than 80 km from Hanover. Public cloud, private cloud setups and offsite backups run here. We offer colocation from a full rack, on separate terms on request.
Enquire about WolfsburgDE03 Frankfurt
Our availability zone more than 250 km away, directly connected to DE-CIX. Private cloud setups and offsite backups run here; the public cloud is planned. We do not offer colocation in Frankfurt.
About connectivityYou can visit all locations by arrangement – please bring an ID document.
Availability on three levels
Depending on how critical your systems are, you distribute them across one data centre, across zones or across cities.
Within the data centre
Each facility is redundant in itself: several power and chilled-water paths, UPS and backup generator, separate cable routes for connectivity.
In Hanover
Three availability zones, each with its own supply. Cross-connects link your racks across both data centres.
Across locations
Wolfsburg more than 80 km away, Frankfurt more than 250 km – for backups and private cloud setups with real distance.
In planning: liquid-cooled colocation
Three projects, three orders of magnitude: 1 MW as an expansion here in Hanover, 1 MW in a hall of its own in the Frankfurt region (FRA 2), 40 MW on the AI campus in the Frankfurt region (FRA 3). All three can be reserved until November 2026.

Power from renewable energy
Since January 2024, the electricity for our own services and for our colocation customers' installations has come from renewable energy: certified green electricity, wind power in Hanover. As a colocation customer, you can have this certified.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get at which location?
In Hanover (DE01), colocation with a rack, a cage or a room of your own, plus our cloud. In Wolfsburg (DE02), public cloud, private cloud setups, offsite backups and colocation from a full rack. In Frankfurt (DE03), private cloud setups and offsite backups, with the public cloud planned; colocation is not available there. You will find more on colocation under Colocation Hanover.
What is an availability zone?
An area with its own supply, independent of the other zones. Hanover has three of them, spread across two data centres. Wolfsburg and Frankfurt add zones at a large distance.
Who has access to my data?
kyberio is an owner-managed German company. German and European law apply; the US CLOUD Act does not.
Can I visit the data centres?
Yes, all locations, by arrangement. Please bring an ID document.
How binding is a reservation on the AI campus?
A reservation secures capacity for you for the end of 2027 and is meant to be binding. We accept reservations until November 2026. The technical details of the campus are indicative and non-binding, subject to further planning.
