What Nextcloud does
One platform instead of five services
Nextcloud is open-source software for file storage and collaboration. Files sit on your instance, are shared via links or group folders, sync with your devices through desktop and mobile apps, and can also be used with existing programs over the open standards WebDAV, CalDAV and CardDAV.
Alongside files, calendars, contacts and tasks come from the same application. Nextcloud Talk adds chat and video conferencing, Nextcloud Office lets people edit documents and spreadsheets together in the browser. Login can be connected to an existing directory via SAML or OpenID Connect — for example to Keycloak.
The Enterprise edition we use also includes support from the vendor and longer maintenance cycles.

Our service covers the complete installation, configuration and support of your Nextcloud instance, so that you can use the system without the effort.

How large your instance becomes depends on the number of users, the storage and the services you want to use alongside it. That is why we do not give a list price here, but size it with you.
We bill the instance, not the head count: the price follows machine and storage. Anyone who sets up a hundred people instead of twenty does not pay more for that — which is why there are no fixed tiers; every instance is sized to what it needs.
Frequently asked questions
Why your own Nextcloud instead of one of the big office clouds?
Because the data then sits with you — on your instance, in a German data centre, with no access under the US CLOUD Act. That is the difference clients with compliance requirements check for.
How many users can one instance carry?
That depends on how the virtual machine is equipped, not on the software. We size it for your number of users and your storage needs, and we can add more later.
Are Talk and Office included?
Yes, if you need them. Talk and Office are part of the supported scope and are not charged per user — we set them up and keep them maintained along with the rest. What they need in resources goes into how the machine is sized: video conferencing makes different demands than plain file storage.
Can I bring my existing Nextcloud with me?
Yes. We handle the move as a separate project, billed by effort: we look at the version, the volume of data and the integrations and tell you beforehand what it will cost. Nextcloud is standard software — the effort lies in the data, not in the application.
Who takes care of backups and updates?
We do. We keep the operating system and the application up to date and set up backups to an agreed concept — geo-redundantly in a second data centre if you want that.
