Every mail server instance runs on its own virtual machine with guaranteed server resources. That is the difference from a rented mailbox: you share neither the machine nor the delivery reputation with senders you do not know.
Administration runs through the LiveConfig interface — built for multiple tenants, so you can create and separate email domains and mailboxes for your own customers. The number of domains and mailboxes is not limited; the package size follows the storage.
Spam filtering via blacklisting and DKIM are supported by the system. Maintenance of the operating system and the software, security updates, monitoring and fault resolution are ours.

Own VM
The instance runs on a dedicated virtual machine with guaranteed resources — not on a shared mailbox system.
LiveConfig, multi-tenant
You create domains and mailboxes yourself and keep them separate per customer. The licence is included in the package.
Spam filtering and DKIM
Sending and receiving including spam filtering via blacklisting; DKIM is supported by the system.
Daily backup
Seven days of retention. Longer retention and archiving are services in their own right — see [backup and archiving](/en/managed-services/security-performance/baas-draas).
24/7 monitoring
We monitor around the clock, maintain the operating system and the software, and apply security updates.
Virus scanning in and out
Incoming and outgoing messages are checked for malware before they are delivered.
Auto-configuration
Mail clients configure themselves — address and password are enough, server names and ports come from the system.
DANE and TLS reporting
DANE/TLSA records state in DNS which certificate the mail server answers with. That makes it hard to undermine transport encryption unnoticed — and few providers offer it.
DNS thought through with it
MX, SPF and DKIM records live in the DNS zone. You administer the zones yourself through the domain robot.

What does a managed mail server cost?
A dedicated mail server with 50 GB of storage costs €154.00 net per month, with a one-off €99.00 net for provisioning. The larger packages go up to 1,000 GB at €484.00 net per month. If you do not need a server of your own, "Mailbox 20" gives you 20 mailboxes for €9.99 net per month.
How many mailboxes may I create?
As many as you like — the number of domains and mailboxes is not limited. The package size follows the storage; the mailbox figure in the price list is a guide from practice.
Can I resell email under my own brand?
Yes. The instance runs on its own VM and is administered for separate tenants through LiveConfig. You appear to your customers as the provider; we look after the system behind it. How the arrangement works is set out under becoming a partner.
What about spam and malware?
Spam filtering via blacklisting and DKIM are part of the system. If you want a protective layer in front of the mailbox beyond that, it is a service of its own — see spam and malware protection.
Is a backup included?
Yes, a daily backup with seven days of retention comes with every package. Longer retention periods, archiving and disaster recovery are services in their own right.
Can we bring existing mailboxes with us?
Yes. We handle the move as a project of its own, billed by effort: we look at the number and size of the mailboxes, the source system and the integrations, and tell you what it costs before we start. The effort sits in the data and in switching delivery over, not in the software.
Where do the mail servers stand?
In our data centres in Germany, certified to ISO 27001 based on BSI IT-Grundschutz (BSI-IGZ-0552-2023). No CLOUD Act.
What response times do you commit to?
We monitor around the clock, every day of the year. How quickly we intervene and through which escalation stages is set out in your contract — a time we have not committed to is not a time we state here.
