What dedicated means in practice
Your private cloud runs on its own hardware: HPE ProLiant servers with Intel processors, ECC memory and mirrored system disks. No other customer works on these machines.
On top of that we install Proxmox VE, the open-source platform for virtual machines (KVM) and Linux containers (LXC). In the cluster, data sits on Ceph storage, replicated three times. You pay no licence costs for the platform.

GDPR, DPA and no CLOUD Act
Your private cloud runs in our data centre DE01 Hannover, with the HA cluster spread across two availability zones. kyberio is a German company and subject to German law, not to the US CLOUD Act.
For processing on your behalf under Art. 28 GDPR, we conclude an agreement with you. You can read it in advance: Data processing agreement (PDF).
Our data centres and cloud services are certified to ISO 27001 on the basis of BSI IT-Grundschutz. The certificate attests to our operations and is one basis for your own evidence.

What does a private cloud at kyberio cost?
The single node starts at €773.00, the cluster of three servers at €2,106.00 and the HA cluster of four servers across two availability zones at €3,606.00, each net per month. The minimum term is twelve months; traffic is included under a fair-use policy. Details are on the Dedicated Private Cloud page.
Can I provide the private cloud to my customers under my own brand?
Yes. We run the platform white-label in the background, and you remain your customer's point of contact. What the contract and the collaboration look like, we discuss with you in a conversation.
What about GDPR and processing on my behalf?
The systems are located in our data centres in Germany; kyberio is subject to German law and not to the CLOUD Act. For processing on your behalf we conclude a DPA with you. You remain responsible for your own processing; the ISO 27001 certificate on the basis of BSI IT-Grundschutz attests to our operations.
What does kyberio take on in operation?
Installation and configuration, updates, monitoring, backups and a 24/7 on-call service. DDoS protection is included. The virtual machines, containers and data belong to you or your customer.
