What odoo does
Modules that talk to each other
odoo is modular business software. Instead of separate programs for sales, inventory management and accounting, there is one application with a shared database — the order from sales creates the delivery in the warehouse and the invoice in accounting, without anyone transferring data.
You decide which modules run: CRM and sales, purchasing, warehouse and manufacturing, accounting, projects and time tracking, HR, helpdesk, website and online shop. Whatever is missing can be connected via the open interface or added as a module of its own.
odoo comes as an open-source Community edition and as an Enterprise edition with a wider range of functions and vendor support. Which one suits you is one of the first questions we discuss.

Community or Enterprise?
The Community edition is open source; the Enterprise edition adds modules and vendor support — in return for a per-user subscription that you hold yourself. We run both; which edition fits is something we clarify at the start, because the price depends on it.
Do you roll out odoo for us?
No. We run odoo — the functional rollout is handled by a partner. Rolling out an ERP means mapping processes, choosing modules, migrating data and training people; that is a craft of its own. Tell us what you are planning, and we will put you in touch with a suitable partner and take care of the operation underneath.
Why not simply use the vendor's cloud?
Because an ERP holds the data that makes up your business. On your own instance in a German data centre, you know where it is and who can access it — with no access under the US CLOUD Act.
What does it cost?
Operation depends on the machine and the support level, the licence on the edition and the number of users. That is why we do not give a list price here — it only emerges once both are settled.
